Bionatar
The Bionator belongs to the activator family and is a removeable appliance that is used to help correct an overbite by promoting lower jaw growth during the body's growth phase . In cases where it is appropriate to use this appliance, it will be part of the beginning phase of orthodontic treatment. It is most commonly used for front to back or anterior/posterior jaw discrepencies. The design includes a palatal stabilising bar and a labial bow which is extended to the first molars and looped back to the distal of the canines. The acrylic connecting struts in the lower portion are narrow with occlusal capping from 3-3 and its upper has only lateral extension, with the cross-palatal stabilising bar.
