Circumferential Retainer
A Circumfrential Retainer is similar to a Hawley Retainer, however the labial bow extends distally to the molars with the retention tags placed palatally to the molars, providing a "wraparound" bow to the appliance. This appliance is preferred when there is limited interproximal-occlusal space or minor spaces that need to be closed. The Circumferential retainer may also be soldered to Adams Cribs on the Molars or C-Clasps for greater stability and retention
